Canon PowerShot SD940 IS (Black)Canon’s latest flagship widget – Canon PowerShot SD940 IS (black) is a finer digicam having features like ultracompact with an impressive resolution of 12.1MP, and 4x Optical zooming either. Its price range is USD 259.88 to USD 319.95.

Canon’s series SD940 IS is a petite camera, easy usability, higher snapping standard, with movie option of higher quality and HDMI capacity either. Some counter elements are no optical zooming in movie and mixed performance.

The dimensions of this latest series are (WHD) 3.5in, 2.2in, 0.8in, weight (with battery and media) 4.9oz. Besides it is supporting 1/2.3-inch CCD, LCD/Viewfinder 2.7in LCD, and 230K dots either. It’s having image stabilization type as Optical and electronic, whilst having battery type, rated life Lithium ion rechargeable up to 220 shots.

Two series of Canon like SD780 IS and SD940 IS are very small, very lightweight 12-megapixel camera. It drops the SD780’s optical viewfinder, and in its place gets a larger 2.7-inch LCD in back, and a wide-angle 28mm-equivalent lens with a 4x zoom in front.

Apart from few minor interface twists, rest basically appears the same; this includes the earlier model’s mixed performance and tendency to produce purple fringing. However, neither is extreme for this class of camera, and all things considered, the SD940 IS is one of the best ultracompacts available.

Amazingly, the latest series SD940’s is slim in its build, it feels very sturdy. However, if you plan to keep it loose in a bag, invest in some manner of protection or risk scratching up its beautiful body and screen. The model is available in silver, blue, black, and brown. The lens barrel color closely matches the body, too, giving it a peculiar uniform look.

Whilst employing this camera, you will feel that it’s brilliantly comfortable, even for large hands. All of the controls are flat and flush with the body.

In fact, it gives a very smooth appearance, but using the four-way directional pad and center Func/Set button can be a little difficult and may lead to frequent mispresses on the center button when trying to adjust the exposure, change focus and flash modes, or pick timer settings from the outer ring.
