Nikon has unveiled a modern camera – Nikon Coolpix L100 which is a smart blend of few unique capabilities like 10MP, 20x optical zoom as well as a finer access to shutter and aperture-setting for a price of Euro 269, whilst relatively to this series, Sony DSC-H50 lends the lighter features like 9MP, 15x optical zoom and a lens.
This latest series is enjoying a unique niche among its competitors, inasmuch as it isn’t facing any challenge from its contemporary gadgets, yet the fact is that, there are many other new comers which offer super-zooming capabilities besides offering inexpensive rates to its admirers. I mean L100 is offered on UKPS 230, whereas Fuji PinePix S2000HD costs UKPS 150 and even cheaper the Kodak Z8612 IS UKPS 110, the difference is quite apparent.
Coolpix L100 having dimensions like 110 x 72 x 78 mm and appears an impression of compact and slimmer, that is owing to one reason, like, this new series is not supporting the viewfinder, as supported by many other cameras. Its weight is nearly 455g, including four AA batteries.
It is a known veracity that the novice users prefer to buy a simple camera that can be assisting merely to point and get a finer close-up, and get a handsome snapshot. The general users are least interested to get the higher zooming, shutter or aperture capabilities and ISO settings.
Yet a pleasing aspect of this Coolpix L100 is that, it is a super-zoom gadget with very easy setting approach, like point-and-shoot capability. This will prove a big step forward to follow on the footsteps of Nikon, to produce easy-to-use features and settings by other camera producers either.
Even a closer look and analysis will give you some more advanced features, you may not have enable to experience during its general look, I mean, its finer quality and outer finish, and with strongly mounted capabilities. Its tripod is made up by metal.
Nikon Coolpix L100 in its first appearance lends a cute look, featuring metal tripod bush, super-zoom, reasonably priced, smart tinctures and a dazzling display, yet it is also not free from few drawbacks, like the camera clamor requires monitoring as well as problematic flash.
