Tom Tom Car Kit for iPhone is a GPS device used for navigating instructions whilst plying any four-wheeler. It has a built-in antenna with SiRF star 3 for receiving, and by dint of that, it receives warnings and navigation instructions during the driving. How, isn’t it a greater gizmo? The device consists of a plastic bracket with an integrated dock connector that holds the iPhone in place. An iPhone is attached by first snapping its dock connector into the bottom of the bracket, and then applying pressure until the top clip of the bracket snaps into place. The car kit has a rubber pad which makes the iPhone scratch free whenever placing or removing.
The bracket connects to Tom Tom’s Easy Port mount on a slider, which slides the iPhone about 2in up and down with a detent in the center. The easy port mount consists of a 1.5in, 2-watt speaker that is integrated into rotating joint that let the iPhone rotate from portrait to landscape orientation and onward for a full 360-degrees. There's a suction cup connected with a ball joint.
The SiRF Star 3 receiver works even better than its iPhone antenna. The same is true for its integrated speaker which is much clearer and louder than the iPhone.
