Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition (Unlocked)

Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition (Unlocked) is a smart combination of many finer features like its by type a smartphone, having Wireless Interface Bluetooth, employing the technology WCDMA (UMTS) / GSM, its band is WCDMA (UMTS) / GSM 850/900/1800/1900, whilst having a Candy bar design. Its service provider is Unlocked.

This series adds the dimensional specs like width 2in, depth 0.6in, and height 4.3in, whilst its weight is 3.8oz, with its body color scheming of black. This series adds few other features like Internal antenna, Vibrating alert, Polyphonic ringer, Call timer, Conference call capability, and Voice recorder either.

Its main competitor XpressMusic 5800 is almost having the same functionalities and features, except the GPS, that is additionally added on this new series of Nokia 5800, so it has taken the lead over XpressMusic 5800.

Yet it is fact that, GPS appears now a routine and integral part of cell phones, thus making navigational features an essential part of all latest mobiles, as a result making separate GPSs entirely redundant. Alas! A terrible age and stage for the GPS producers, where all their GPSs will go, I can guess to scrap or otherwise I don’t know.

In the new era, technology is offering a new feature TeleNav – that is helpful to lend voice-driven directions, yet to access to this facility, you only require subscribing for a location-based service for this – and you need to pay a meager amount for its subscription fee – that is it.

Nokia had given an announcement in the last month of January that, it is going to offer a new facility that was dubbed as Ovi Maps with Navigation, free of charge that is added on all its GPS-supported smartphones – whilst purchasing its phone set – at a suitable price.

Despite the fact that Nokia 5800 carry many enviable features, still it has some glitches like it doesn't have decent user linkage as well as its route recalculations also appear slightly slow. Besides, you can’t expect for the usability and capability like Motorola Droid.
