Sony Ericsson – an amalgam of two top-slot companies – Sony and Ericsson, is  in the sprint to produce latest model cell phones, offering multi-features to its freaks, has unveiled a flagship model in the Mobile World Congress that is, MWC: Sony Ericsson Idou.

This model’s name has been undisclosed, so it is a guess that, Sony being a Japanese company, Idou generally mean – a change in Mobile World Congress, may complement, a real change in the communication media in the coming era.

So this new gadget – which is greatly attracting the attention of viewers, has surely enhanced the thrill of its zealots.  This latest model is having 12 megapixel camera with necessary autofocus, a Xenon flash, LED flash, geo-tagging, face detection, Smile Shutter mechanism – an amazing feature.  The camera takes the image, at the time, when the person-in-focus is smiling.

This latest mobile offer very advanced features, like HSDPA, Bluetooth, DLNA-certified Wi-Fi, an accelerometer, microSD memory card slot, USB 2.0 connectivity, and A-GPS.  This latest cell phone, Idou has a 3.5 inch touchscreen display with 360 x 640 pixels of resolution.

Idou operates on Symbian OS, with S60 5th edition software platform.  Sony Ericsson has selected Symbian OS – it indicates that, the company greatly relies on Nokia’s mechanism.

This company was previously employing Windows Mobile in its gadgets, whilst being an affiliate of Open Handset Alliance (OHA) that assists Google Android, as a best option for the operating mechanism.

S60 is being used in the phone – the actual user interface is different from those of Nokia’s S60 UI, and Samsung, who employs TouchWiz, as its UI.  The looks of the software are glossy, adding a blend of black and crystal-clear, with transitions in the mid.  To add even more high quality features, the Idou assists touch focus, where the operator touches an area on the display, with a view to focus it with the camera; and it features auto rotation, either.

This latest cell phone is big and gives an indication of chunky.  Its dimensions are 111 x 54 x 15mm, which are akin to the Nokia 5800 – a mobile that seems quite un-stocky, while its dimensions are 111x51.7x15.5mm – similar to Idou.
