The latest 12” notebook produced by HP is an ultra-stylish laptop. Adding the new AMD Athlon Neo processor, the HP Pavilion dv2 owes to fulfill the deficiency between low-performance netbooks and higher-priced ultra-portable notebooks.
This thin and light laptop can manage 1080p Blu-ray movies or can carry you to the level of your most liked video games. Its price is USD 750, not having features, of those gadgets the cost of which is equal to this price. Thus, it is earlier to decide, that relatively to a netbook, which cost to USD 300, will the buyers still will select the Pavilion dv2 or otherwise.
The framework of the Pavilion dv2 supports the AMD “Yukon” platform structured exclusively for ultra-thin laptops. The body of the dv2 is smooth with rounded edges, making it highly comfortable, whilst carrying it along. The framework is solid, yet its dimension is somehow wider like 13 inch notebook.
The screen also supports a design, enabling it to open the notebook with one hand. Even if the lid lacks any latch to keep it held close; the hinges feel nice and sturdy, keeping the lid secure. Pressing firmly onto the back of the screen cover will produce some ripples on the screen … but you must apply significant pressure to cause this.
The plastic wrapped, alloy-reinforced lid features a glossy black finish that looks subtle and stylish and doesn’t cry “CAN YOU HEAR ME” the way that the HP Imprint Finish does on most HP Pavilion notebooks.
The magnesium-aluminum allow chassis is quite hard, so there is no any likelihood of flex or creaks even you can twist between your hands, to experience this. Accepted, that the dv2 is less than 1” thick … means there isn’t much empty space inside the notebook for anything to flex under stress.
